Shepway Voices

A Community Choir for Adults from Shepway and surrounding area.

Who Are Shepway Voices?

Shepway Voices was established in 2011, run by the charity 'Music and Arts for the Shepway Community'. The Musical Director for Shepway Voices is Tania Holland Williams. Tania joined in 2023 and brings with her a wealth of musical experience.

We are a choir for EVERYONE. Whether you have been in a choir your whole life, or you have never sung in public before, we welcome everyone. We believe that our welcoming attitude and open arms to all singers is what makes us stand out from the crowd. You do not need to be able to read music, and there are no auditions, just come along and enjoy!

We sing a hugely wide selection of music, from pop to African folk songs, from jazz to songs from musicals, and quite frankly whatever we fancy. Songs are chosen by either the Musical Director, or by choir suggestions!

We sing at a range of events, from our own concerts (Summer and Christmas), to fairs, charity events, weddings, festivals, and wherever we are invited.

If you are an adult wanting to join a choir, whoever you are, come and join us at Shepway Voices!

How do I become a Shepway Voices member?

Shepway Voices rehearsals start at 7:30pm on Wednesdays at the FBC Centre on Hill Road, Folkestone. Rehearsals are provided to the community for free, with a suggested donation of £5.
