The aim with our choirs is very simple.

  1. For people to enjoy themselves at rehearsals and events.

International Women's Day Event

A collaborative event celebrating International Women's Day, hosted by the Women of the World Orchestra.

Who: Anyone!
What: Shepway Voices will sing as part of a diverse programme featuring a range of performers. An evening of music, dance, songs, poetry, arts and crafts and food stalls.
When: Saturday 8th March 2025, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Where: South Kent Community Church (SKCC), 60 Castle Hill Ave, Folkestone, CT20 2QR
Why: To come together with other community groups in the local area and celebrate female empowerment.

The Lion King Singalong Fundraiser

A family-friendly event where we sing along to the cross-generational smash hit The Lion King!
And yes, it's the original 1994 2D animation version!

Charity singalong - The Lion King (1994). Lyrics on-screen during the film! On Sunday 30th March at the Folkestone Silver Screen. Doors open at 4pm, event runs from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Warmup and fancy dress contest hosted by Duncan Moris. Raising funds for Shepway Choirs, registered charity number 1170602. Tickets available at folkestonecinema.com/whats-on/events.

What: Singing along to all the hits in The Lion King, with a warmup and fancy dress contest hosted by local music legend, Duncan Moris.
When: Sunday 30th March 2025, 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Doors open at 4pm.

Why: To enjoy singing together while being swept away by one of the greatest Disney movies of all time.

Solos Night

Shepway Voices and Showtime Choir showcase the talents of their members as they go solo.

Who: Anyone!
What: Members from Shepway Voices and Showtime Choir bringing their talents to singing solo.
When: Sunday 11th May 2025, 7pm
Where: The Old Cigar and Olive, 12-14 Rendezvous Street, Folkestone CT20 1EZ
Why: To support and celebrate the talents of singers from around Folkestone who may not normally have a chance to sing as soloists on stage!

Shepway Voices & Gwalia Singers

A shared concert between Shepway Voices and the Gwalia Singers, who are travelling from their home in Swansea to join us in Dover.

What: Shepway Voices and the Gwalia Singers performing, with tea, coffee, soft drinks, cakes... and our favourite - biscuits!
When: Friday 16th May 2025, 7:30pm

Kubb Tournament Fundraiser

Bring your family and friends for a day on the field. Don't forget your picnic blanket and weather-appropriate clothing! If you've never played before, Kubb is easy to learn. Tell us your theme song when your team signs up! With exciting commentary all the way through to the final, it's set to be a great day out. Bring a picnic blanket and some family/friends along for a catchup. There will be cakes and a BBQ! Drinks available from the bar.

What: A tournament of the garden game, Kubb, for teams of all ages, up to 8 people per team.
When: 6th July 2025, 11am - 3pm - more details coming soon!

Meet The Directors

Tania Holland Williams and Duncan Moris

Tania Holland Williams is the Musical Director of Shepway Voices.

Tania has an astounding musical background - including having performed at the Royal Opera House - and has a passion for adventurous, accessible artistry, which shines through in her creative productions with the choirs and her community interest company, Fat Lady Opera.

Duncan Moris is the Musical Director of Shepway Primary Singers, Shepway Youth Voices and The HeadStrong Singers.

Duncan is a professional singer and choir leader, having toured the UK and Europe. In 2010, Duncan became a founder of the Shepway Choirs to give everyone in the community access to the mental and physical health benefits of music.
