Shepway Primary Singers

A Community Choir for Children of Primary School Age from Shepway and surrounding area.

Who Are Shepway Primary Singers?

Shepway Primary Singers was established in 2009. It was the first choir run by the charity 'Music and Arts for the Shepway Community' (formally Guihdall Sports and Arts CIC), and has since been joined by Shepway Youth Voices (for children of secondary school age), and Shepway Voices (for adults).

We are a choir for EVERYONE. Whether you are in the school choir, used to be, or have never ever sung in a group before, we welcome everyone. We believe that our welcoming attitude and open arms to all singers is what makes us stand out from the crowd. There are no auditions, just come along and enjoy!

We sing a huge selection of music, from pop to African folk songs, from jazz to songs from musicals, and quite frankly whatever we fancy. Songs are chosen by either the Musical Directors, or by choir suggestions!

We sing at a range of events, from our own concerts (at the end of each school term), to fairs, charity events, festivals, and wherever we are invited.

The Musical Directors for the Shepway Choirs are Tania Holland Williams and Duncan Moris. Tania joined the Choirs in 2023. Duncan has also been leading choirs for many years, and is an experienced singer, having toured much of Europe and the UK in either a touring professional Rat Pack show, or as the front man for a successful swing and jive band.

If you are of Primary School age and are wanting to join a choir, whoever you are, come and join us at Shepway Primary Singers!
